A crosslinked homopolymer of pure vinylpyrrolidone. A readily flowing white or nearly white powder with definite hygroscopicity. It smells slightly. Medicine is insoluble in water and ethanol, ether and other commonly used solvents, so the molecular range can not be determined. However, polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) has the ability to severely bond with a variety of substances (such as various pigments that cause wine and other beverages to discolor). And because of its insolubility, it is easy to be removed after filtration.

Purpose:
1. Clarifying agent; Pigment stabilizer; Colloidal stabilizer. It is mainly used for the clarification and quality stability of beer (reference dosage of 8 ~ 20g/100L, maintained for 24h and filtered out), and can also be combined with enzymes (proteases) and protein adsorbents. It is also used as a stabilizer for wine clarification and preventing discoloration (reference dosage 24 ~ 72g/100L).
2. In daily cosmetics, PVP and copolymer have good dispersion and film forming properties, which can be used as styling liquid, hair spray and mousse setting agent, hair conditioner sunshade, shampoo foam stabilizer, wave setting agent and hair dye dispersant and affinity agent. Add PVP to cream, sunscreen and hair remover to enhance wetting and lubrication.
